Different group of people exploit and inhabit the forest reserve, independently of their gender or age. Women are the most active in the forest, mostly dealing with agricultural activities. IITA has been one of the most active with a huge regeneration of Tropical tree Species. Many of those are nowadays been exploitated by locals.The German Cooperation pursues the regeneration work long carried out by IITA in the Forest Reserve.
